When, in 1947, D. Fermin Ayuso Roig decided to found his own winery in Villarrobledo, an ideal location with rich land and an excellent climate, he began a family tradition in grape growing and wine production, which made #bodegasayuso the standard of maximum, quality and seriousness on the market. Already in 1961, the winery began to commercialize bottled wine after the creation of cellars with Bordeaux-type oak barrels. With the 1965 harvest, the launch of the #estola brand, the winery’s flagship and first La Mancha Reserve, soon to attract the attention of specialized critics and personalities. In the records of that time there is evidence of a visit to the winery in 1973 by the nuncio of His Holiness, and the brand earned fame in the book by Vasquez Montalban “La Rosa de AlejandrÃa”.
